Firmware / Electronics Engineer

Precision Fermentation, Inc. develops innovative brewery monitoring and automation solutions that leverage a shared electronics and firmware platform. Come join our team to help evolve our electronics, sensor, and firmware to the next level! This position is responsible for evaluating new electronic components, diagnosing issues with existing components, and building tools and infrastructure to support manufacturing and quality control.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Create and maintain specifications for sensor hub electronic components (e.g. wiring diagrams, etc.)
  • Propose / develop circuits or components to meet product requirements (e.g. PoE, battery monitoring)
  • Collaborate with design partners for PCB development and manufacturing
  • Evaluate digital and analog potential sensors (e.g. Dissolved Oxygen, pH, Conductivity)
  • Collaborate on new sensor development (e.g. dissolved CO2)
  • Build electronic subsystems for prototype sensor hubs (integrating electronics, fluidics, mechanical engineering), and low-volume customer products (e.g. automated cleaning stations)
  • Develop automation platforms for manufacturing support and quality control
  • Develop initial software for sensor, motor, and other electronic activation and data capture

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • At least 3-5 years of hardware prototype development involving both analog and digital components
  • Demonstrate experience and proficiency in determining root cause of malfunctioning components
  • Experience with firmware development and testing using Arduino or similar tools
  • Strong written and oral communication and collaboration skills

Director of Marketing

PFI is seeking a new Director of Marketing to lead our demand generation and brand marketing efforts. In this role, you will oversee all activities related to building awareness of PFI and our solutions. Today we serve the brewery industry, but our sights are set on the broader fermentation and fluidics markets. Our patented technology provides insights and control never seen before, and delivers a straight forward, ROI-based, high return solution. The right candidate will have a strong track record of marketing excellence, executing successful demand generation activities, and building a high performance team. Duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage marketing strategy for targeted markets and regions – including go-to-market, market analysis/segmentation, lead generation, marketing mix, sales strategies, and funnel marketing
  • Develop a high performing marketing team and culture of marketing success through consistent training, mentorship, and accountability
  • Own the demand generation funnel from concept to completion, from creative to closed lead
  • Marketing operations: Collaborate with internal associates and partners to implement processes and systems that ensure the most efficient marketing organization possible – manage success through open communications, data-driven decision making, and continual process improvement
  • Budget: Plan and maintain budget for all marketing programs; measure and report KPIs to executive team; optimize spending for growth and ROI

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of marketing experience, preferably in B2B SaaS technology marketing
  • Extensive experience driving holistic marketing strategy for B2B customer acquisition with an obsession for driving CAC down and conversions up
  • Expert copywriter and editor, with a focus on quality copy for promotion and demand generation in many use-cases
  • Product marketing background with a focus on simplifying highly technical products – GTM plans, market segmentation, and storytelling that positions and differentiates products and services
  • Extensive background in marketing automation, web content management, web analytics, and business intelligence (reporting and analysis tools); CRM experience helpful
  • Proven track record of demand generation programs that support sales activities that have built a sales pipeline and delivered revenue cost effectively
  • Digital marketing background with website planning and management, SEO, Google Ads, social media, paid social media
  • PR experience, including strategy, media outreach, press release writing and crisis management
  • Social media experience (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn): strategy, technical and recent trends

Account Executive

In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving profitable sales pipeline in an assigned territory while meeting and exceeding quarterly and annual revenue goals. You will develop strong relationships with customers, resulting in expansion opportunities. To excel in this role you must be disciplined, focused on results, able to prioritize and operate with a high level of efficiency.

The right candidate will have a strong track record of sales excellence, along with experience building effective sales strategies.

Responsibilities (what you’ll do):

  • Deeply understand PFI’s product offerings and industry trends in key verticals
  • Guide potential customers of PFI through the sales process, turning leads into long-lasting partnerships by understanding their business and use cases, communicating with prospective customers in a professional and persuasive manner, conducting persuasive presentations and demos to small and large groups of customers/executives, overcoming objections and negotiating contracts, and maintaining a database of contact and opportunity information
  • Build strong internal relationships (especially with Customer Success and Fulfillment) to ensure our customers have a smooth onboarding experience and derive maximum value from PFI while leading additional revenue through expanded usage and new product adoption.
  • Have a pulse on open deals in the pipeline with expected close dates to generate quarterly sales forecasts.
  • Gain proficiency with our CRM and adhere to CRM Usage Guidelines
  • Periodically travel to events to meet prospects, provide face to face product demos, and generate new pipeline

Experience, qualifications and skills (what you’ll have):

  • Looking for a minimum of 5+ years of sales experience
  • Enterprise/SaaS Sales experience is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of brewing and/or fermentation processes and operations is a plus

Sr. Software Engineer

Precision Fermentation is a fast-growing startup company providing advanced monitoring services to craft brewers, yeast manufacturers, cideries, seltzer manufacturers, and others to improve quality and production efficiency. We accomplish this with our innovative SaaS / IoT platform that includes advanced sensing, data collection, analysis, and visualization of a wide variety of fluid characteristics.

As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will be a member of the Product Development team responsible for expanding and improving the architecture, CI/CD pipeline, and feature capabilities of our platform. You will help define and execute our strategy to both leverage best-of-breed components and do custom development to deliver an exceptional user experience.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Chief Development Officer
  • Work with the CDO, sales, and customer success teams to define requirements for upcoming software releases
  • Lead ongoing efforts to continue to enhance our software architecture.
  • Establish and develop tooling to ensure compliance with software development best practices
  • Manage the cloud deployment landscape and the tooling for deploying upgrades, monitoring performance, and identifying issues
  • Act as the lead developer for new, complex features

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • At least 7 years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years of experience as a team lead
  • Demonstrated experience and capability for managing pull requests and deploying moderately complex applications
  • Experience developing, deploying, and monitoring continuous integration / continuous deployment pipelines is a plus
  • Strong understanding of networking, common Web technologies, and HTML user interface technologies is highly desired
  • Strong competency in data structure design and SQL is highly desired.
  • Experience with JavaScript, PHP, and Postgres is highly desired.
