Account Manager

The Account Manager will be responsible for Precision Fermentation’s customer relationships from initial contract thru end of life. The AM team is responsible for maintaining and growing customer relationships; the success of their efforts will largely determine how long a customer is a customer. This role will coordinate the customer onboarding and rollout, manage customer relationships through day-to-day contact with a heavy focus on; a) achieving full deployment of Precision Fermentation solutions to support revenue growth and b) ensuring a durable customer relationship, low/zero churn and infinite customer life.

Primary Focus:

Provide our customers a Single Point of Contact for (most) everything while helping to build confidence and trust with our clients: A good account manager will build strong relationships that increase customer loyalty:

  • Onboarding: Our account manager will be the face of Precision Fermentation to the customer and will handhold customers through the deployment of BrewMonitor solutions, hardware and software.
  • Educate to encourage full and rapid adoption: Educate the customer based on best practices to use the BrewMonitor System given their internal processes i.e. help our customers shape their use of BrewMonitor to be compatible to their requirements. AM will also share knowledge and help the customer develop their business – a huge step towards building a long-lasting relationship.
  • Share customer leanings: Bring Precision Fermentation internal staff up to speed on how customers are using BrewMonitor to aid in the creation/evolution of best practices/ content to share with other customers
  • Retain customers that get out on the ledge: Account managers will be our negotiators, bringing at-risk customers back into the fold. The value of that, compounded across an entire team, brings immense value to our company.
  • Respond. Quickly. Quickly Route billing, fulfillment, technical and product issues to the right place. They will need good customer service skills and be able to quickly diagnose customer issues and route them accordingly.

Key areas of responsibilities will include:

  • Manage customer relationships. Ensure smooth onboarding and rollout within customers operations, educate customers and increase utilization, understand and help customers achieve objectives, drive customer revenue growth thru additional BrewMonitor sales to achieve revenue targets.
  • Be the quarterback for the customer relationship – Understand the customer needs, requests, issues AND quickly solve them or route to the right team member to ensure timely resolution
  • Understand and document the customer in CRM – learn who’s who and what their roles are, capture key metadata related to their infrastructure and operations (equipment, process, beverage types, etc.), understand their business requirements/ goals and document appropriately
  • Perform analysis of customer operations by tracking campaign performance and network trends; use problem solving and analytical skills in order to determine the most effective means of increasing ROI.
  • Build seriously GREAT customer relationships – get to know our customers and build trust thru knowledge of their operations and our product to establish yourself as a “go to” source
  • Assist the sales team in closing new accounts by being involved in the sales process in anticipation of contract signing to ensure smooth transition from prospect to customer

Qualifications:

  • Know our product inside and out – Account managers MUST HAVE super strong product knowledge - AM must be able to efficiently demonstrate all aspects of BrewMonitor to the customer and map that to customers current processes. Customer growth won’t happen, and churn will increase if you are unable to help the customer get full value out of their BrewMonitor system. The customer might not even know what he or she is missing.
  • An analytical ability to understand our customers' brewing workflow and help them exploit the BrewMonitor solution/software.
  • Good process skills and detail orientation - Managing the onboarding/implementation will set the right expectations for our customers. With project management knowledge you know how the project can be adapted.
  • Be technically astute
    • AM must know when to route to support, engineering, etc.
    • AND supply good directional input on bug fixes and feature requests.
  • Be ROI minded – AM must live and breathe the ROI that BrewMonitor supplies to our customers. This will help align the value of customer(s) feature request against the actual value of fixing a bug and building/accelerating a new feature to help PFI make better decisions and eliminate doubt.

Requirements/Skills:

  • Sales, account management or technical account management skills·

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales, account management or technical account management role
  • Experience with B2B technology or SaaS products (use, rollout, utilization)
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Sr. Software Engineer

Precision Fermentation is a fast-growing startup company providing advanced monitoring services to craft brewers, yeast manufacturers, cideries, seltzer manufacturers, and others to improve quality and production efficiency. We accomplish this with our innovative SaaS / IoT platform that includes advanced sensing, data collection, analysis, and visualization of a wide variety of fluid characteristics.

As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will be a member of the Product Development team responsible for expanding and improving the architecture, CI/CD pipeline, and feature capabilities of our platform. You will help define and execute our strategy to both leverage best-of-breed components and do custom development to deliver an exceptional user experience.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Chief Development Officer
  • Work with the CDO, sales, and customer success teams to define requirements for upcoming software releases
  • Lead ongoing efforts to continue to enhance our software architecture.
  • Establish and develop tooling to ensure compliance with software development best practices
  • Manage the cloud deployment landscape and the tooling for deploying upgrades, monitoring performance, and identifying issues
  • Act as the lead developer for new, complex features

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • At least 7 years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years of experience as a team lead
  • Demonstrated experience and capability for managing pull requests and deploying moderately complex applications
  • Experience developing, deploying, and monitoring continuous integration / continuous deployment pipelines is a plus
  • Strong understanding of networking, common Web technologies, and HTML user interface technologies is highly desired
  • Strong competency in data structure design and SQL is highly desired.
  • Experience with JavaScript, PHP, and Postgres is highly desired.

Customer Advocate

Reports to Customer Success. As a Customer Advocate, you will be a member of the Customer Success team. Customer Success is responsible for the entire customer experience, from pre-sales through onboarding and account management, to retention. The Customer Advocate job may have a variety of shifts and incorporate numerous systems including a call center environment or face to face interaction.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Represent Precision Fermentation, Inc. professionally
  • Manage communications (phone, email & text) with customers effectively
  • Become an expert in leveraging the application to solve our clients’ problems
  • Respond to inbound support requests from clients on how to use the BrewMonitor system and help get them on board
  • Onboard new clients onto the system – train new users on how to use the BrewMonitor system and identify usage scenarios

Business Development Representative

We are looking for a sales associate assist a team of National Account Executives (NAE) with lead generation, qualification, administration, service and order processing. Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails. Understanding customer needs and requirements. Routing qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with each NAE toward creation of a workflow ensuring maximum production and efficiency
    • Daily communication with team of National Account Execs (NAE) – phone, text, email & Slack
    • Assist NAE with lead generation and admin processes
  • Keeping up with product and service information and updates
  • Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers (via CRM)

Director of Marketing

The Director of Marketing is responsible for marketing, branding, PR, lead generation and customer acquisition strategies to feed and support Precision Fermentation’s sales funnel from awareness and initial engagement through each stage of acquisition, and retention. The director ensures the efficient delivery of marketing programs across all promotional channels, including website, digital, advertising, email, social media, events, public relations and sales-integrated campaigns. Also, responsibilities of this role include creation and management of marketing plans and budgets, and optimizing spending to gain maximum ROI from all programs. Lastly the director drives generation, and/or manages the generation of all creative output across the organization – including branding, product packaging, software graphical user interface, sales support, marketing and promotion.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage marketing strategy for targeted markets and regions – including go-to-market, market analysis/segmentation, lead generation, marketing mix, sales strategies, and funnel marketing
  • Hire and manage marketing associates, consultants, agencies and other vendors
  • Marketing operations: Collaborate with internal associates and consultants to implement processes and systems that ensure the most efficient marketing organization possible – manage success through open communications and continual process improvement
  • Budget: Plan and maintain budget for all marketing programs; measure and report KPIs to executive team; optimize spending for growth and ROI
  • Lead generation: Research, negotiate, test and execute paid programs to increase awareness and generate qualified sales leads across all targeted territories (North America, Australia and Western Europe); assess lead quality in conjunction with sales, and implement strategies for lead quality optimization

  • 15+ years of marketing experience, preferably in B2B technology marketing
  • Extensive experience driving holistic marketing strategy for B2B customer acquisition
  • Expert copywriter and editor, with a focus on copy for promotion and lead conversion in many use-cases – demonstrated skill in publishing strategy
  • Expert graphic designer for print, web and multimedia, with a broad portfolio and demonstrated skill in branding, advertising, UI for web-lead acquisition/conversion and UI/UX for SaaS products
  • Extensive background in marketing automation, web content management, web analytics and business intelligence (reporting and analysis tools); CRM experience helpful
