Firmware / Electronics Engineer

We are seeking a firmware and electronics engineer to help evolve our electronics, sensor, and firmware to the next level.

Who are you?

Someone with a strong track record in evaluating new electronic components, diagnosing issues with existing components, and building tools and infrastructure to support manufacturing and quality control.

What you bring to PFI

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • At least 3-5 years of hardware prototype development involving both analog and digital components
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in determining root cause of malfunctioning components
  • Experience with firmware development and testing using Arduino or similar tools
  • Strong written and oral communication and collaboration skills

As a part of the product development team you will

  • Build, test, and diagnose new electronic assemblies
  • Create testing rigs to evaluate new sensors, and new sensor assembly methods
  • Create and maintain specifications for sensor probe electronic components (e.g. wiring diagrams, etc.)
  • Propose / develop circuits or components to meet product requirements (e.g. PoE, battery monitoring)
  • Support early field testing by building electronic subsystems for prototype devices
  • Develop automation platforms for manufacturing support and quality control
  • Develop initial software for sensor, motor, and other electronic activation and data capture

Senior Program Manager

Precision Fermentation, Inc. is a market leader providing technology to monitor the fermentation process involved in brewing, winemaking, distilling, and multiple other industries. Our product combines on-premises sensors with cloud based analytics, presented via both web and mobile applications.

We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to be a member of the Product Development team responsible for driving a diverse set of cross-functional programs across product development, support, manufacturing, sales, technical support, and marketing.

Who are you?

Someone with a strong track record in development of hardware and software products with proven experience in product release planning and execution, and a clear commitment to collaborative success.

You will drive coordination of deliverables, plans, and progress reporting across multiple departments, and manage dependencies and project execution risk for achieving product objectives for quality, release timing, and market success.

What you bring to PFI

  • At least 5 years of experience in cross-functional program management in large commercial organization supporting the development of hardware and software products
  • At least 3 years of experience running programs across organizations
  • Experience with establishing and refining ISO 9000 product development governance is highly desired
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to concisely and effectively brief executive management on a portfolio of ongoing programs
  • Outstanding people skills to facilitate working with professionals of diverse experience and professional backgrounds
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a technical field
  • PMP certification is desirable but not required

In your role you

  • Work with the leadership of each functional department (CFO/COO, CRO, CDO, CPO) to
    • define cross functional programs including objectives, timelines, and resources
    • establish approaches for regular status reporting and communication
    • define and implement approaches to track key business metrics
  • Define program management practice for product release planning and execution
  • Coordinate product and process changes with key R&D and manufacturing partners
  • Develop and communicate resources plans to ensure that appropriate project and program management resources are available to support company growth
  • Establish formal quality review procedures with metrics and quality improvement roadmaps
